⚠️ STOP RIDING — This error indicates a critical safety issue. Continuing to ride may cause battery damage or safety hazard. Stop and diagnose before continuing.
Error E01 on your Lectric indicates: Battery voltage abnormal — voltage outside safe operating range.
Stop — battery voltage unsafe — Battery voltage abnormal — voltage outside safe operating range
Symptoms
- E01 on Lectric display; motor cuts power; battery indicator flashes; may occur during acceleration or under heavy load
Common Causes
- Battery cells degraded from age or poor charging habits
- Battery stored in extreme heat or freezing conditions
- Charger malfunction — not reaching full voltage
- Battery BMS tripped due to cell imbalance
- Loose battery connection causing voltage drop under load
Fix Steps
Step 1: 1. Remove battery and check voltage with multimeter — should read 41-42V for 48V system at full charge
Step 2: 2. If voltage below 38V: charge fully and retest after 30-minute rest
Step 3: 3. Clean battery contacts with isopropyl alcohol — oxidized contacts cause voltage drop
Step 4: 4. If voltage drops below 36V when you connect the battery to the bike: cells are degraded
Step 5: 5. For XP 3.0: ensure battery is fully inserted and locked — partial insertion causes intermittent contact
Step 6: 6. Lectric batteries have 1-year warranty; extended warranty available at purchase
Step 7: 7. Replacement battery cost: ~$400-500 for XP 3.0 48V 14Ah
