Symptoms

Common Causes
- Battery cells out of balance — common in batteries over 2 years old
- Battery stored at full charge for extended periods
- BMS calibration drift after many partial charge cycles
- Cold weather causing temporary voltage sag
Fix Steps
Step 1: 1. Fully discharge battery by riding until it shuts off (range will be low — stay close to home)
Step 2: 2. Charge battery to 100% without interruption — this calibrates the BMS
Step 3: 3. Repeat full discharge + full charge cycle 2-3 times
Step 4: 4. If error persists, have the battery tested at a Bosch dealer
Step 5: 5. Battery cell replacement: ~$300-500 at a battery rebuild specialist
