Fix Steps
Step 1: 1. Disconnect battery first — Bafang systems carry 48V+ which can short if pins touch
Step 2: 2. Locate the green 5-pin Higo connector between display and harness
Step 3: 3. Unplug and inspect all 5 pins — look for bent or pushed-back pins
Step 4: 4. Clean connector with electrical contact cleaner
Step 5: 5. Reconnect firmly — you should feel a click
Step 6: 6. Reconnect battery and power on
Step 7: 7. If error persists: test with a spare display if available, or replace the display-to-controller cable (~$15-25 on Amazon)
