Symptoms

Error 30H; motor cuts power; may come back after cooling for 10-15 minutes

Common Causes

Sustained high-power riding in hot weather
Controller heatsink clogged with mud or debris
Using throttle only for extended periods (no pedal assist)
Programming set above safe power limits

Fix Steps

Step 1: 1. Let the motor cool for 15-20 minutes — do NOT pour water on it

Step 2: 2. Check that the controller heatsink fins are clean and not blocked by mud

Step 3: 3. Reduce power assist level — ride in PAS 3-5 instead of PAS 9

Step 4: 4. If you reprogrammed the controller, restore default power settings

Step 5: 5. Consider adding external heatsink fins to the BBS02 (common mod)
