Symptoms
- Error 25 on display; throttle and pedal assist do not engage; motor does not start
Common Causes
- Brake lever not fully returning to resting position
- Brake cutoff sensor (magnetic switch) stuck in engaged position
- Damaged brake sensor wire
- Brake lever bent from a fall keeping the switch closed
Fix Steps
Step 1: 1. Squeeze and release both brake levers several times — sometimes the sensor just sticks
Step 2: 2. Check if either brake lever is physically bent or not returning fully
Step 3: 3. Unplug one brake sensor at a time and test — this isolates which side is faulty
Step 4: 4. If the bike works with one sensor unplugged, replace that brake lever/sensor assembly
Step 5: 5. Check the brake sensor wire where it enters the lever — common pinch point
